Bio

Bennett Monuki graduated with a double major in Recording Arts and Sciences and Trombone Performance  at the Peabody Conservatory of The Johns Hopkins University. Bennett originally got his start in music playing the piano at age 5 and started on the trombone at age 10.

Bennett studied under recording engineers Ed Tetrault and Scott Metcalfe at the Peabody Conservatory. He has worked as a Student Audio Engineer at Peabody, where he recorded ensembles and recitals, edited audio and video recordings, mixed, and maintained recording equipment. He was also a Recording Studio Intern at Hear No Evil Studios in Orange, California, where he assisted engineer Elliot Koenig with setting up, striking, and running sessions. 

Bennett worked as a live sound engineer at the Bethany Church in Columbia, Maryland. In this position, he set up and managed the live sound of the church services, which included a live band. He also set up and monitored the streaming audio for YouTube. Bennett also worked as an intern at Lion Share Studios in Los Angeles.

Bennett is currently an audio editor for the podcast Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso, and also  a freelance recording engineer at Haven Recording Studios, both located in Los Angeles. If you want to set up a session, you can use the contact page or email Bennett at bmonuki23@gmail.com.
